Salter Brothers Hospitality are seeking a passionate and experienced Regional General Manager to lead our exceptional teams across a cluster of hotels and retreats within our growing portfolio.
Based in the stunning Blue Mountains, you will work closely with the SBH Senior Leadership Team and fellow Regional Managers to drive performance, elevate guest experiences, and uphold the standards of our luxury brand.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure each property in your region is operating at its full potential. Your focus will be on optimising opportunities, achieving key performance and financial targets, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity where you will play a key role in shaping the success of this portfolio.
The role and key duties;
- Provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight across all properties within your region.
- Drive alignment to SBH’s strategic goals, brand standards, and values.
- Champion a consistent and exceptional guest experience, with accountability for protecting and enhancing the brand.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the business model, leading initiatives that support growth, change, and continuous improvement.
- Identify, develop, and mentor current and emerging leaders, fostering a culture of capability and progression.
- Enable the success of direct reports through guidance on budget execution and operational strategy.
- Own regional P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial accountability.
- Analyse business performance to uncover opportunities and drive sustainable growth.
- Drive profitability while upholding luxury service standards.
- Act as the key conduit between property teams, Central Services, and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Champion local marketing initiatives to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.
- Lead the evolution of operational standards while ensuring the protection and presentation of physical assets.
Essential criteria required to be considered;
- Relevant tertiary education in Business, Hospitality Management or similar;
- Minimum 5 years of Hotel management experience in a luxury Hotel environment;
- Must have cluster, area or multi-hotel General Manager experience;
- Strong background in Food & Beverage operations;
- Proven track record in managing and motivating high performing teams across multiple business units;
- Sound acumen and ownership of P&L's, business models, budgeting and strategic leadership;
- Experience in the repositioning of operational standards to meet luxury brand standards;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Willingness to tackle every aspect of the business with a hands-on approach and a positive attitude.
