Spicers Guesthouse is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist with leading our housekeeping operations and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. As a member of our wider Salter Brothers Hospitality team, you’ll play a key role in creating meaningful experiences for both our guests and teammates through thoughtful service, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The role and key duties
- Clean, service, and maintain guest rooms to the highest standards, including bed-making, dusting, vacuuming, sanitising surfaces, and replenishing amenities;
- Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of cleanliness and guest service;
- Coordinate daily shift operations, including staff allocations and task assignments;
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure they meet brand standards for cleanliness and presentation;
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints, ensuring a positive experience, handle escalated guest issues and communicate effectively with management;
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of supplies;
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all workplace safety procedures.
Essential criteria required to be considered
- Previous housekeeping experience;
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel setting;
- A commitment to assist in leading, training and developing a small team;
- Commitment to providing an excellent guest experience;
- Good problem solving & organisational skills, high level of productivity & time management;
- Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
- Located close to our restaurant with a reliable vehicle or a willingness to relocate.
