About The Rooftop Bar & Grill

Located at Bannisters Pavilion in Mollymook, the Rooftop Bar & Grill is a vibrant, contemporary space offering a laid-back yet stylish dining experience. Our menu celebrates local produce and bold flavors, served with a modern twist. It’s the perfect spot for guests to unwind and indulge in exceptional food and drinks while enjoying the relaxed beachside atmosphere.

The role and key duties

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to the highest standards.
• Work closely with senior chefs in your section to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Support daily kitchen operations, including stock rotation and inventory management.
• Help control wastage and portion sizes while upholding quality standards.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Essential criteria required to be considered

• Chef trade qualification (essential);
• Previous experience in a la carte restaurant environment;
• Ability to understand & deliver on our guests expectations;
• Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement, and industry knowledge of food health & safety;
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and teamwork skills and be able to multitask with a high attention to detail;
• Willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
• Reliable vehicle to get to and from the hotel;
• Located close or a willingness to relocate.
