Our Leadership Team
Meet the driving forces behind Salter Brothers Hospitality. Our leadership team is committed to delivering exceptional results, to leading our passionate people with commitment for their growth and to shaping the future of luxury hospitality in Australia, and beyond.
Tash is a strategic executive with a passion for leadership and guest and employee experience.
She joined Salter Brothers Hospitality in August 2023 as the inaugural Chief Executive. Tash has 20 years of industry experience, having had an esteemed career at IHG over almost a decade and a half, where she worked numerous roles with remits spanning across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, including heading operations for Singapore and Malaysia. Immediately prior to her return to the industry she loves, Tash was a member of the Brisbane City Council Executive Management Team, accountable for the community facing services of Australia’s largest Local Government Area, serving over 1.2 million residents. Prior to this, Tash spent three years at Virgin Australia, leading customer experience and product, including their iconic cabin crew.
Originally from Melbourne, Tash is based in Brisbane, accompanied by her partner and two children. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management from the Blue Mountains International Hotel School, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Griffith University and is a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Robert brings over 30 years of financial management experience and a global Hotels perspective to SBH.
Robert joined SBH us from Accor Apartments and Realty, where he spent an impressive 14 years honing his skills and expertise in finance. With over thirty years of experience in various finance roles across esteemed brands such as Sheraton, Starwood, Intercontinental, and Ritz Carlton, Robert’s track record speaks volumes about his capabilities.
Throughout his extensive career, Robert has traversed the globe, accumulating visa stamps in two passports along the way. His senior financial experience and leadership in overseeing finance and operations teams across multiple geographic locations make him a valuable addition to our organisation.
Raphael is a senior hospitality and real estate executive with 17 years’ experience in hospitality backed real estate investment across three continents.
A global citizen with working and living experience in eight countries and fluent in four languages, Raphael brings a wealth of experience in hotel branding, hotel development and investments, hospitality consulting and revenue management.
With a diverse and international hospitality background Raphael understands well today’s lifestyle and luxurious traveller as well as hotel owners.
Raphael holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne and Certificate in Revenue Management from Cornell University.
Chris Curran joined SBH as Chief Operating Officer in October 2025, bringing with him over two decades of experience in hospitality operations, strategic growth, and team leadership.
With a proven track record across leading organisations including NRMA Parks & Resorts, Vista Hospitality Group, and Pro-invest Group, Chris is known for driving performance, delivering results, and fostering a culture of innovation.
Throughout his career, Chris has led large-scale operational portfolios, overseen hotel openings and development projects, and championed business transformation initiatives. His expertise spans operations management, leadership development, and commercial strategy – making him a key force in SBH’s continued growth.
As COO, Chris plays a pivotal role in shaping SBH’s operational excellence and guest experience across our portfolio. His energy, insight, and leadership on the Executive Committee will help strengthen SBH’s position as a leader in luxury and lifestyle hospitality.
Matthew brings over three decades of leadership in hospitality and technology to his role and has been a driving force behind our digital transformation since joining the business in February 2024.
With a career spanning senior roles at eHotelier, Carnival Australia, and Rydges Hotels & Resorts, Matthew combines deep industry insight with a passion for innovation. His experience includes leading global hospitality platforms, managing complex IT operations across cruise and resort brands, and driving digital transformation initiatives.
With a strong focus on strategic vision, innovation, and operational excellence, Matthew has played a pivotal role in ensuring our IT infrastructure supports long-term growth and success.
As CIO, Matthew leads our technology strategy, overseeing the enhancement of digital capabilities for both guests and team members, strengthening cybersecurity, and championing innovation across the business.
Kate brings over 30 years of leadership in luxury hospitality, spa, restaurant, and residential design.
Since joining SBH in June 2023, she has been a key contributor to the creation of the Éliva and Ardour brands, and is shaping the creative design vision across the hotel, restaurant, and wellness portfolio.
Her international career spans London, New York, Hong Kong, and Sydney. Formerly a partner at the global hospitality design firm BBG-BBGM, she worked across three continents and opened the Sydney office for the partnership in 2002. In 2010, she founded Studioaria, delivering timeless, contemporary interiors for award-winning projects in Asia, the USA, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe.
With over two decades of experience driving brand and commercial performance across luxury hotels, consumer, and lifestyle sectors, Victoria brings a proven record of strategic leadership and creativity.

She has held senior marketing roles with leading hotel brands, including The Langham Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and has worked across Australia, England, and France.
Her expertise spans brand strategy and positioning, integrated campaign development, digital performance, PR, and partnerships. Renowned for delivering customer-centric and commercially impactful initiatives, Victoria consistently elevates brands and drives measurable growth.
Our Board

Paul is a Founder and the Managing Director of Salter Brothers.
Paul’s strength and expertise is in the areas of hotels and gaming, information technology, telecommunications, digital and traditional media. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is a member of the Institute of Company Directors and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
Paul is the Managing Director of Salter Brothers, Salter Brothers Hotel Group and the Chief Executive Officer of Salter Brothers Immigration Investment (previously Atlas Capital Group). He also leads the Company’s mergers and acquisitions practice and has been involved in most of the capital raising and investments undertaken by the Group.
Prior to this role, Paul had extensive management and corporate finance experience working as Chief Financial Officer for Damovo Australia, Ericsson Corporate Networks and ACTTAB Ltd and with KPMG and Ernst & Young in corporate finance and consulting.
Robert is a Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Salter Brothers.
Robert has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to co-founding Salter Brothers, Robert was a Senior Investment Advisor at Macquarie Bank Limited. He provided investment advice to high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals in the Asia Pacific region. Before this, he held similar roles as a Director with UBS Wealth Management and also at Merrill Lynch Private. Prior to his career as an investment advisor, Robert worked overseas, principally in Switzerland, as the Deals Desk Head for the Metals and Minerals Division of Trafigura Beheer BV, a physical commodity trader.
Robert is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne), is PS146 Accredited and was an Accredited Derivatives Advisor Levels 1 & 2 with Macquarie Equities.
Steven is Director of Hotels for Salter Brothers.
Steven is responsible for leading the Group’s hotel portfolio strategy and performance. He has been guiding the hotel portfolio and has more than 20 year’s hospitality experience in international hotels.
Throughout his career, Steven’s roles have included regional operations leadership, development, acquisitions, pre-opening operations, general management, area financial management, hotel franchising and brand development across Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific and the United States.
Prior to joining Salter Brothers, Steven had eight years with the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as a Regional Head of Operations for the IHG Asia, Middle East and Africa region overseeing some 60+ hotels with responsibility for more than $900 million in revenues.
Steven is a fellow Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and a graduate of both Cornell and Kaplan Universities having completed studies in both Hospitality and Applied Finance.
