Join the thriving team at Salter Brothers Hospitality as our new Reservations Agent. 

Reporting to our Director of Reservations you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and unforgettable experience for guests at our collection of luxury Hotels and Retreats. You will be responsible for managing reservations, assisting guests with enquiries, generating revenue and contributing to the overall success of our exclusive portfolio.

The role and key duties;  

  • Provide personalised service by assisting guests with reservations, inquiries, special requests, and information about our properties and their amenities promptly and professionally via phone, email, and other communication platforms.
  • Build rapport with guests, understanding their preferences and tailoring recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as front desk, activities and spa to ensure the smooth flow of guest services.
  • Upsell and promote premium room categories, spa, and other offerings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Have meticulous attention to detail and maintain accurate records of guest interactions and reservation
  • Utilise systems and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the reservations team to promote upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of each hotel in our curated boutique luxury portfolio, sharing each hotels uniqueness and charm with every guest.
  • Problem solve with a can-do attitude, turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate guest and reservation records in the property management system and reservation software.

Essential criteria required to be considered; 

  • Proven experience in luxury hospitality, reservations, or guest relations roles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with discerning clientele.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively with team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Track record of working to sales targets, with a focus on creating revenue through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Proficiency in reservation management systems and software crucial - Opera or Mews would be highly advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts weekends, and holidays as required.
